Our
mercantile section displays some of the merchandise that
would have been available to Golden's early residents.
Generous contributions from D. C.
Edmiston and Lillian Bird brought us collections from
old-time pharmacies in Central City and Erie, which have
allowed us to recreate a turn-of-the-century pharmacy
right in the museum.
Some fascinating display cases accompany
these new exhibits, showing some of Golden's early
merchants, such as Koenig's grocery (which used to be in
that great two story brick building at the corner of
10th and Washington) and Kellogg hardware.
