Overview:
The Golden Pioneer Museum is located in
the heart of Golden's historic downtown. Our
permanent exhibits provide a wonderful walk through
Golden history, and our special exhibits highlight
fascinating lesser-known subjects.
Plan to spend a day with us! Our
outdoor patio provides enchanting views of Clear Creek
and the mountains. Our reading room offers
plenty of historic photos and newspaper accounts to
keep you busy. The gift shop features a
revolving set of offerings by local artists, as well
as books about Golden history and pioneer life.
Ready to stretch your legs? We
have wonderful heritage gardens around the museum,
well worth perusing. A walking/bike path runs
right behind the museum, running along both sides of
Clear Creek. Enjoy the mountains, the public
sculpture collection, Golden's charming architecture,
and beautiful Clear Creek running through it all!
